Pizza Pie

This recipe is actually called Tebow Family Pizza Pie. I only know who Tim Tebow is because of everyone "tebowing" Otherwise I would be clueless to who he is. Oh well, his family makes some good food HA!

1 pound ground beef
1 envelope Italian-style spaghetti sauce mix
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
3/4 cup water
1 tube (12 ounces) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese, divided
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Smoosh biscuit dough into bottom of greased baking dish.

Cover with 1/4 cup parmesan cheese.

Brown ground beef and drain. Mix in sauce mix, tomato paste and water.

Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 7-10 minutes or until thickened.

Place meat mix as the next layer in your baking dish. Cover with mozzarella cheese and remaining parmesan cheese. Bake at 400 for 15-18 minutes or until crust is brown and cheese is melted.

Enjoy!

Root Beer BBQ Crock pot Chicken

The only pop I drink is root beet or sierra mist, so when I saw this root beer bbq chicken recipe for the crock pot I knew I wanted to try it out.

Chicken Breasts
1 cup root beet
2 cups bbq sauce
pepper

Put chicken in crock pot.

Mix together root beet and bbq sauce.

Pour bbq root beer into crock pot, sprinkle pepper on top and cook on low for 4-6 hours.

Before serving shred chick and serve on burger buns.

I don't have an after picture, because I was really hungry and didn't take one. Oops!

Also, my sister made this about a week before me and she just cooked her chicken in the root beer, then once she shredded the chicken and put in on buns, she poured the bbq sauce on top.

Either way works and they both were pretty tasty!

Crock Pot Beer Chicken

Let me start by saying that Mike talked about this chicken for days after I made it.  He just kept saying 'nothing will ever be as good as that chicken' or 'that chicken was the best thing I've ever eaten'

We had a party back around Christmas and since I was sick and hardly anyone showed up, we had some left over beer. I came across this recipe and decided to give it a try.

Chicken breasts
1 can or bottle of beer (I used Coors light)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp dried oregano

Place everything except beer in crock pot.

Pour beer in crock pot over top of chicken. (Sorry for the bad phone pictures)

Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours. Keep an eye on it if you can because some comments on the original post mentioned their chicken dried out after 4ish hours. I know I cooked mine for at least 4 hours and it was fine.

Sorry I don't have a better finished picture. My camera batteries were dead and all I had was my phone.

Chili Dog Casserole

I actually 'pinned' this recipe to make more for Mike. I don't really like chili dogs, but I know he does.  Since we're still trying to get our house ready to put up for sale we were outside working all day and before we knew it, it was dinner time.  I threw this together in less than 10 minutes and then got back to cleaning.

2 (15 oz) cans chili with beans
1 (16 oz) package hot dogs
10 (8 inch) flour tortillas
1 (8 oz) package Cheddar cheese, shredded

Preheat oven to 425. Pour one can of chili on bottom of 9x13 baking dish.

Roll up hot dogs in tortillas and place in dish on top of chili.

Cover with other can of chili and cheddar cheese. Bake at 425 for 30 minutes.

Again, it was amazing!! I will definitely be making it again!
