95% done

We are so close to being done with moving Marley upstairs, us downstairs, and creating a little office upstairs too.  Marley's room just needs trim around the bottom, door and window. Our room just needs clothes put away, and the baby stuff set up.  The office still needs all it's drywall done, flooring done, and some major organization.  So far Marley seems to really like her room. She has almost all of her toys up there (which I love!)  Her bed is a reversible loft bed. When she was downstairs she slept on the bottom. We switched up when we moved her upstairs. She freaked out at bed time as asked us to flip it back over. We did and she was fine after that.  The next day she asked us to flip it back over so she's on top again... We did, and so far so good. Here's the picture timeline of the whole progress.

Marley's old room downstairs- AAHH It's a mess!

Bye bye pink paint...

Priming upstairs.

New paint. Marley said she wanted blue. Mike picked this out. She said she didn't like it, it's not blue it's green were her exact words.

CARPET! I have this weird pregnancy thing where I LOVE to vacuum. I'm not going to lie, I've vacuumed her room 4 times already...

It's done!

Our room downstairs.

Our headboard is about 3 inches too long for that wall so it extends into the closet. Baby Corn's crib will also be in this closet (not the one with the door haha)

So there it is. It took us about 8 days so far. Like I said all that's left is little touch up stuff.  I love not having toys in the living room and I think Marley loves having her own little space upstairs.

Movin' on up...

Remember this post here about us moving Marley's room upstairs? Well we've finally started working on that. However, things changed a little.

See in this picture the room in the top left corner? That was originally going to be the nursery. We've since decided to make that Marley's room, and have the baby downstairs with us for at least the first month or so.

Mike's been working for only about 2 days and he's made some great progress so far. All the "fun" stuff is done, and now it's time to mud and sand all the drywall. That is definitely not fun, and it's very messy.

Here's our progress so far...

This is the upstairs from the stop of the stairs looking into the room. This was taken the day we bought our house.

Now it looks like this! The hallway on the right leads to the bathroom. The jut out on the left is the closet in the room.
Here's the view looking back from inside her room. Closet on the right. Not sure what kind of door we're going to get on there. It's about 3 feet smaller than her room now, but for some reason it seems bigger.
She decided she wants her room painted brown. A few days before she decided on brown she said she wanted blue, so we'll see what we finally end up with. We should have it all done in a few weeks. Just need to finish all the drywall up, paint, carpet, put up trim and then switch all her stuff up here and the rest of our stuff down stairs (most of our stuff is out of this room, either on the other side of the wall or in our dining room).  We'll also have to paint downstairs since her current room is pink and I don't think Mike likes the idea of having a pink bedroom.  We also put in a new window up here and a new fan (it's so cute) I have pictures on my other camera of it so I'll share that in the next update (which will hopefully be once we're finished!)

30 weeks

Since we started doing house work I have been slacking on the belly pictures and time has been flying by. At the most I only have 12 weeks left- that's crazy!!  I now have to go to the dr. every two weeks until the last month then it's every week. I have gained 24 lbs so far which is right on track.  Everything is still good. I have a lot of rib pain but it's just from constant kicking- little brat!

Meet Annabelle

My friend Laura that I've known since 6th grade finally had her baby! She was due on Christmas day but ended up being born on the 17th (A day after Laura's birthday)  They live in Ohio and originally hadn't planned on coming out here until the middle of January =(  Laura texted me on the 23rd and said she was coming out here this week! This made my Christmas. haha! So, here she is- Annabelle Christine. Born Dec. 17th. 5lbs 13 oz. She's so cute and so tiny!

Love that little nose!

Marley and Annabelle. Marley was very good around her. I'll admit I was a little scared on the drive over that Marley was going to be a crazy child.

26 weeks and emergency rooms

This week marks 26 weeks. I'm having a hard time getting comfortable at night, but otherwise everything is going good.

Yesterday we got to spend 3 hours in the emergency room.  I was at home with Marley. She was playing and I was watching tv.  All of a sudden my vision got really blurry and I could only see straight ahead.  The cat jumped up next to me, but I couldn't see her. I called Mike and he came home from work and we went to the er.  My temperature was fine. My blood pressure was fine. Heart rate was fine (mine and Corn's)  We basically sat there for three hours, then a nurse came in and said we could go home. So not sure why my vision messed up, and they didn't say either. They just said to make a follow up appointment with my dr.  Glad I only have 14-16 weeks left...

Oh and here's one just because-

25 weeks and the first snow

I had a dr. appt this week. Nothing really new to report. Everything looks good still. Can't believe how fast time is going.

Marley has been asking if it's Christmas yet and when it's going to snow and why it hasn't snowed yet.  I found a chocolate calendar to help her see when it's almost Christmas. She loves it!

That day was a trumpet.
We finally had our first snow last night. Not a lot at all, but Marley absolutely freaked when she saw it.

Addicted to Pinterest

I've heard everyone talking about Pinterest but never really got it. I finally decided to join and see what all the hype is about. I AM ADDICTED!! There are so many things on there. From recipes to hair bows to organization ideas. I read a blog called Young House Love and they occasionally have Pinterest challenges. They ask their readers to actually do one of the things they have "pinned" Their challenge is what really gave me the push to join. I didn't participate when they had their challenge, but I did decide to do one of my pinned items.

Under my kitchen sink is DISGUSTING!! There is no bottom to the cabinet so everything sits on the concrete floor. Last summer the pipes backed up so the floor is gross, and the wall back there is nasty too. Anyways, I decided my first task would be to utilize my space better. I saw this idea on pinterest and had to give it a shot.

Here's my cabinet. See it's nasty!

After I installed my $3 towel bar from K-Mart

GENIUS!
There ya have it. Basically it's a $3 towel bar and then you hang spray bottles from it. It took me about 20 minutes, but probably half that time was spent trying to fit comfortably under there to nail the bar up. (My belly is getting in the way a lot more lately)

My goal is to do at least one thing that I pin a week. Next up is an awesome bib for Baby Corn! I will definitely be back with an update on that!

Thanksgiving and 23 weeks

We had a great thanksgiving with both of our families. Here's a few photos.

Mike and the kids playing legos.

Crazy kids.

Mike and Marley playing her new keyboard.

Marley and Mike's dad (aka the grandpa with hair) playing Don't break the ice.
Also last Wednesday marked week number 23!  I decided to do a little comparison this week.

22 weeks and SANTA!

I am currently 22 weeks pregnant. So far I've gained about 15 pounds. I feel pretty good all the time. Though today while at the hardware store I did have to run outside to get some fresh air cause I felt like I was going to pass out. Little boy is kicking away every night.

I have a little buddy in this picture. Marley just had to get in there at the last second.  Marley has said for months that she hates dresses =(  I had at least 10 dresses that my mom had bought her, I either sold them or gave them back to my mom because Marley refused to wear them.  Well, when Marley said she wanted to go see Santa, I told her she had to wear a dress. She gladly agreed to wear it. After she put it on she even said she likes dresses now.  I know she'll wake up tomorrow and say she hates them again, but for a few hours it was nice to have a little fancy girl in a dress!

That's a Marley original pose

She told Santa she wants a yo-yo for Christmas. Afterwards she told me that Santa is cool.

Girl or Boy?

Well today was our gender ultrasound.  I've been very indecisive if I wanted to find out or not. Mike really wanted to know. So our compromise- the tech wrote it down and put it in an envelope.  Well we were home an hour and I decided the envelope needed to be open. (I don't like secrets)  So here goes-

Inside was a note and this ultrasound picture.

Here's some other pictures from today too.

Creepy!!

This post is brought to you by the letter H

Halloween-  Marley said back in early September that she wanted to be a dinosaur for Halloween. I found 2 dino costumes for her. All along she wanted to be the green one, but when it was time to get dressed to go trick or treat, she changed her mind and was the blue one. She is one cute dino!

Half way done- ALREADY!? Today marked 20 weeks pregnant. It's gone by so fast, and the next 8 weeks will fly by with the holidays. I have a dr. appt on the 10th, and then the gender ultrasound, (still not finding out!) I have a lot of items for the baby already- 2 car seats, swing, bed set, crib, exersaucer, some yellow duck clothes, bouncer seat, and a black diaper bag since Mike wouldn't ever carry Marley's since it was pink. Corn tuck a tuck is roughly 10 inches long and weighs 10 ounces. Still lots of growing to do.  I'll update more after my appt. and ultrasound depending on when that is.

The good, the bad, and the uh-oh!

Here's the good-

18 weeks. Baby's heartbeat is right at 150.  Everything looks good so far. I also got my flu shot today.

Here's the bad-

That's an awesome bruise right? This is from about a week ago when I was mowing the grass. Something shot out and hit me right in the leg. It hurt so bad.
And now the much anticipated uh-oh-

I was upstairs getting laundry and checking my email, and Marley yells up. " Mom I don't want my curl anymore" I instantly knew what she had done. Came downstairs and she had cut off all but an inch of her bangs. I cried, she cried, and Mike yelled. I trimmed them up a little so she didn't look so weird, but it's still not great.
