1 1/2 pounds boneless pork chops
3-4 medium potatoes, chopped in large pieces (I sliced mine)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 packet ranch powder mix
1/2 cup milk
To freeze, just mix all ingredients together and pour into a gallon size freezer bag.
On cooking day, just thaw for 24 hours before putting in crock pot and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
How do u stop potatoes from going black
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't know. Some of mine did too. Maybe freeze them right away after you cut them.
ReplyDeleteI read in other places that some people leave out the potato until they are ready to put it in the crockpot. Add that ingredient fresh as opposed to freezing it to prevent freezer burnt taste and the potato going bad. I hope this helps.
ReplyDeleteI read on another receipe to use red potatoes instead of Idaho for freezing. Thank
ReplyDeleteYou need to parboil the potatoes before you freeze them to keep them from turning grey or black.
ReplyDeleteIf you partially boil the potatoes then ice bath them. That helps before freezing
