Dry Erase Menu Board

I picked up this dry erase board a couple years ago at a yard sale for $0.50. I used to just write the day of the week and our dinner for the week on it, but since I've been doing freezer meals and shopping for a month's worth of food at a time I decided to step it up a notch.

First, I measure the board and figured out how to fit 7 squares across and 5 squares vertically so it would look like a calendar.

Luckily, I had this ruler that was just about perfect for making my lines and spaces fit perfectly. I just put it on my board and drew a straight line with a permanent marker where I needed them. I made sure to not touch or smudge it because that would be a disaster in my book.

I did all my lines horizontally then did the vertical lines after I made sure it was nice and dry.

Tada! After it was all dry I used my dry erase markers to fill in the days and dinners we would be having. Super easy to erase and rewrite the dates each month but still have the lines.

I would be lying if I said I don't stare at it every time I go into the kitchen. I'm so proud!

Baked Ravioli Freezer Meal

I made this when I made my crock pot freezer meals, but this one is for the oven. It is amazing!

25 oz. frozen cheese ravioli
.75 lb ground beef, cooked and drained
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
3-4 cups spaghetti sauce
(I made my own sauce, and I'll share that recipe later this week)

Pour 1/2 cup sauce on bottom of pan. Place 1/3 of the ravioli on top, cover with 1/3 of the meat, 1/4 cup cheese, and 1 cup sauce. Repeat layers twice.  On the final layer, put cheese on after the sauce. Cover with foil and freeze. To bake, preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cook for 25 minutes with foil on.  Uncover and cook for 10 more minutes.

Chicken Noodle Soup Crock Pot Freezer Meal

I'm back for another crock pot freezer meal

1 lb chicken breasts, cubed
1/2 lb carrots, peeled and diced
1 cup celery, diced
1 onion, diced
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp basil
1 tsp oregano
1 bay leaf
1/4 tsp pepper
8 oz egg noodles
8 cups chicken broth

If freezing combine all ingredients except for the noodles and broth in a freezer bag and freeze. To cook, dump bag and add chicken broth. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Add the noodles and cook for 30 more minutes or until pasta is cooked through. Remove bay leaf and enjoy!
