That's pinteresting!

Ever since we got our front door I have been a little scared that I would look out there at night and see someone looking in at me.  Not to mention, when people come over this is what they can see

When I see that, I want to turn and run so who knows what strangers think. LOL!

Well I found an idea on Pinterest and I got to work.  All it took was some $6 contact paper.  I actually spent more time in Wal-Mart looking for the contact paper than it took me to put it up.  All I had to do was trace the stencil on the contact paper, cut them all out, and stick them up.  I also decided to do the kitchen window because it had this sticky stuff on it from the previous owner. I think they had a stained glass sticker on there or something.  So here's the pictures, they pretty much speak for themselves.

Front door looking out before.
During
After!

Kitchen window looking out. Before.
Kitchen window after. Still ugly-ish, but hopefully better.

Addicted to Pinterest

I've heard everyone talking about Pinterest but never really got it. I finally decided to join and see what all the hype is about. I AM ADDICTED!! There are so many things on there. From recipes to hair bows to organization ideas. I read a blog called Young House Love and they occasionally have Pinterest challenges. They ask their readers to actually do one of the things they have "pinned" Their challenge is what really gave me the push to join. I didn't participate when they had their challenge, but I did decide to do one of my pinned items.

Under my kitchen sink is DISGUSTING!! There is no bottom to the cabinet so everything sits on the concrete floor. Last summer the pipes backed up so the floor is gross, and the wall back there is nasty too. Anyways, I decided my first task would be to utilize my space better. I saw this idea on pinterest and had to give it a shot.

Here's my cabinet. See it's nasty!

After I installed my $3 towel bar from K-Mart

GENIUS!
There ya have it. Basically it's a $3 towel bar and then you hang spray bottles from it. It took me about 20 minutes, but probably half that time was spent trying to fit comfortably under there to nail the bar up. (My belly is getting in the way a lot more lately)

My goal is to do at least one thing that I pin a week. Next up is an awesome bib for Baby Corn! I will definitely be back with an update on that!

Dinner recipe- Cheesy Crockpot Chicken and Snickerdoodle Cookies

I decided to share my dinner with you!  Actually it's just the recipe and some photos, but it's better than nothing.

Cheesy crockpot chicken

4-6 chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
2 cans condensed cream of chicken soup
1 can cheddar cheese soup
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder

Put all ingredients in crockpot. Cook on low 6-8 hours. Serve over rice or noodles.

We also had broccoli and potatoes. I'm always using coupons and finding the best sales,  so this entire meal cost me around $5.00.

I was really into cooking for some reason, so I made snickerdoodle cookies.

1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cup flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Heat over to 400. Mix shortening, sugar, and eggs.  Sift remaining ingredients and stir into the shortening mixture.  (I mix it using my hands)  Roll into balls. Roll them in 2 tbsp sugar & 1 tsp cinnamon. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly brown but soft.

YUM!
