Air Zoo in Michigan

About a month ago we headed up to the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo, Michigan. We had seen signs for it along the highway before and when I looked it up online I knew we had to go. 

When we got there Mike was in heaven. Airplanes everywhere. It took him at least 5 minutes to get 10 feet through the door because he was talking to one of the volunteer workers about all the airplanes. 

They mostly had airplanes, but they had a space shuttle and a few other flying things. 

They had a few rides for the kids. Mason was okay with this one until it started moving. He leaned right over onto Marley and started whining. It was cute but so sad.  He actually rode all the rides and by the second time though he was fine and was having fun. 

This was the second time we rode it. She wanted to go alone. So brave. 

We were there a few hours and had a lot of fun. They also had some flight simulators and I think that was Mike's favorite part of the whole thing. He loved it all though. Just like a kid in a candy store.

I recently signed up for Influenster. It's a product review company.  Influenster sends out products for free and all you have to do is review them.  You can earn points for doing other tasks. The more points the more likely you are to get picked for future reviews.  You can also link your social media accounts to help them see what influence you have on others.  Within a week of signing up, I had a free box of chocolate in my mail box waiting to be devoured.

My first box was chocolate. Hershey kisses to be exact. I decided to try to pace myself so I didn't eat them all and I made some brownies with the kisses in them.  Very yummy.  We definitely loved them.  I saw some other people received the candy canes ones which sound delicious, so I'll be off to the store soon to buy some of those.

Elf Update

Our Elf, Jingle Bell, has been around for a while now and she's just as clever as ever. Some nights she's too tired to fly home, but the kids are okay with that. Mason always searching for her and usually runs to where she was the day before only to realize she's gone. It's pretty cute. Here's what she's been up to since last time.

Poor thing got tied up by some of the other toys and here comes a train! 

I've seen several of these on Pinterest and I finally had some kisses so I placed her in the bathroom window. Marley seemed upset that she wasted chocolate. 

She climbed our fireplace rocks for two days, must be hard work. 

Mason actually found her first this day. He didn't seem to care that she was up there though.

Looking for coffee. She must be getting tired of all these late night North Pole trips. 

Jingle Bell will fly home in just a few days so I'm really trying to come up with some great ideas. What has your elf done?

First Day of Gymnastics for the Kids

A couple weeks ago both kiddo's signed up for gymnastics.  They've had a few classes each and so far it's going really good. 

Mason took about 10 minutes the first class to get used to it, but he jumped right in when the teacher pulled out the slide.  He's been doing rolls and other tricks ever since. 

Marley did great at her first class. She jumped right in and wasn't afraid to try anything they did. I think it's safe to say she loves it too.

Can't wait to see how much they both improve and hopefully they really enjoy gymnastics for a long time.
