Fourth of July

I've been a bad blogger lately. It's a month later, but here's how we spent our Independence Day.

Marley getting some candy. She had a huge bag full!
Watching the parade

After the parade we went to my moms and Marley hung out in the hot tub.

Watching fireworks. Ever since this night, Mason has been pointing up and saying "woah"

Watching the neighbors fireworks once we got home

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!

Easter

We had a really nice Easter this year. We woke up and Marley looked through her basket, then we went out to eat with Mike's dad. After that we headed out to Illinois to my aunt and uncles. We had an egg hunt with all the kids and lots of dessert!

Crazy kids!

Jump!!

So cute!

Mason and Mike were just sitting and putting eggs in the basket, then Mason would start clapping.

All the great grandkids and some of the grandkids with my grandma and Aunt Lynda.

Marley is FIVE

Wednesday was Marley's 5th Birthday! I can't believe she's already 5. Here's how we spent her special day.

She got a card and a dollar in the mail from grandma, grandpa, and Simba.

Her Citrus Lane box also came in the mail so that was a nice surprise for her.

We made cookies for her class.

Mike picked up a Ninja Turtle ice cream cake on his way home from work.

We went out to dinner at Cracker Barrel and stopped at the toy store and Petsmart to look at the animals.

She ate a piece of cake almost as big as her head.

Then she relaxed with Zeus.

She had a great day.

Next up is Mason's 1st Birthday, and I may cry a little...

Valentine's Day

Time is flying by. I'm almost a month late on posting about our Valentine's Day.

Marley had a small party at school on the 13th (she only goes M,W,F) . She wrote her name on cards for all her classmates. The day before she wasn't feeling well, and she was actually falling asleep while filling out her cards before school.

The whole class sang a few songs for the parents.

This is how Marley spend her Valentine's day. Still not feeling good and fell asleep while eating lunch.

Luckily, she started feeling better the day after Valentine's. And both kids had some mail!

Cards from Grandma and Grandpa. I told Marley to hold up Mason's card for him, so she held it up in front of his face. She's a great sister!

Christmas

So it's almost a month after Christmas, but I've been so busy with going back to school this semester and we're trying to sell our house (more on that at a later date) but better late than never to fill you in on our Christmas activities. And it was Mason's 1st Christmas!

Mike was really sick on Christmas eve. Like, had to go to the emergency room and get a shot to stop throwing up sick. So he stayed in bed most of the day. He did manage to get up for about an hour so we let Marley open her presents from her Grandpa with hair (Mike's dad)

On Christmas morning we woke up early and opened our presents from Santa. We then headed over to grandma and grandpas to open more presents. Then we headed down to Auntie Pam Pam's house for dinner and more presents. It was a long day with lots of good food and lots of fun times.

Since my mom decided to make this a "pajama christmas" a few days later I went back to her house to get some fancy pictures of the kids. And yes, Marley is wearing a dress!!

I think this face sums up the holiday perfectly. HAHA! So good all year and now that it's over she turns evil!

Jack's Final Adventures

Night 39- Christmas Eve Morning

After Marley got over her fear of Jack, I think she really enjoyed it. She keeps asking when he's coming back, so maybe he'll make a few visits throughout the year just to keep an eye on her. She did say that next year he'll watch Mason instead of her.
